DorlandsOnline.com Accessibility Statement
Last updated February 2026
DorlandsOnline.com is committed to continuously improving accessibility and aligns with broader Elsevier goals and evolving standards. This includes meeting or exceeding W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Key areas of focus include keyboard navigation, responsive design, and improved contrast on text and buttons. We are also actively working on implementation of alt-text and aligning the e-commerce elements of the user experience with the latest EAA and ADA standards. The scope of this takes registration elements into consideration. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is currently under review, will be posted here when available: DorlandsOnline.com VPAT. The VPAT link also provides access to Onix Code information.
This product includes many visual features, and we look forward to implementing new ways to convey this information as technology allows. If you have suggestions for improving accessibility or would like to report accessibility issues encountered on DorlandsOnline.com, please contact our Customer Support team at the Dorland's Support Center or by contacting [email protected].
